What are your thoughts?  Dreams?  Vision?

In five years, what would you like to see along the river, between Ford Street and Brooks Landing?

What would you keep?  What would you change?

Let's start with Housing & Residential Neighborhoods, along with Economic Development.  Post your suggestions!

I'm really in a 'wait and see' mode. After the Riverview Apartment on S. Plymouth Ave. fiasco  and the Bolder Coffee Shop fiasco I have little faith that anyone will listen to what long-standing community residents have to say about any changes that are to take place in this community.  They didn't listen then, so why would they listen now.  My $100 purchase of a pound of coffee went down the drain.  Frankly, in five years I hope to be out of the neighborhood.  The handwriting on the wall says I will probably not be able to afford living here on a fixed income anyway.  Case in point: the emergence of Corn Hill that started out very similar to the PLEX neighborhood under the guise of 'Urban Renewal'.  The longstanding vibrant history of the Third Ward community will forever be forgotten and bull dozed over never to be remembered.  (ie 147 Dr. Samuel McCree Way, Dr. Lundsford, Hamm House) Economic Development-nobody seems to be developing anything except NEW storefront facades.  Same stores, same lucy's, drug paraphernalia, outdated foods, same questionable  activities......new fronts.  Why bother?
