Superintendent selection

The note is still in limbo, given the news on the receivership schools.

Next steps on local bussing

Zola got our petition on-line, and everyone was encouraged to complete it and send it on to all our contacts. Thanks to Zola.

School reports and receivership

Schools 10, 16, 19 and Wilson Foundation were 4 of the 10 RCSD schools added to the list of schools in superintendent receivership. The following are the meeting dates, and the committee member assignments

-#10 Wednesday Feb 6 at 5:30 at Douglas Sarah and John L

-#16 Wednesday Feb 6 at 5:00 in the gym John B and Jay

-#19 Wednesday Feb 6 at 6:00 John B and Eleanor

-Wilson Foundation Feb 11 at 5:00 in the cafeteria Dan

-#16 Monday Feb 11 John L, John B, Jay

We will be able to compare and contrast the issues and approaches that the schools are taking to make the necessary improvements. This interaction with the schools may identify younger candidates for membership on this committee

The next committee meeting will be Tuesday March 5^th at 7 pm in the 19^th Ward Community Association office.
