At the SWCC Education Committee meeting the night before, Mike Schmidt had mentioned that the Building Advisory Committee for School 10 was meeting at 10 am on the 24th and said John Laing and I could sit in to see where the plans stood.  Mike had mentioned they were applying many of the design features they had developed to meet the community's requests while designing renovations to School 16.

As you can see below, the school currently has only a small second floor over the north end of the school.

The School has a great ornate stage in their multi-function room which will be saved as the space is re-purposed as a the library as they did at School 16.

The woodwork above the stage lists the tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy and is just beautiful.

The group reviewed the latest drawings with the architects and discussed changes they would like to see.

Currently, as we can see in this areal view in a similar orientation as the drawings, the school is mostly one story except for the north end which has a small second story and the tall multi-function room with the stage.

There will be a second floor addition for classrooms over the south half of the current building and a new Gym and Cafeteria added to the south end of the school in a way that it can also serve as a "community center" after hours.
