We knew about NY Senate bill S5227B which Joe Robach had introduced and which had passed the Senate but we had not heard about the bill David Gantt had introduced in the assembly.  The News10  report says "Bill 178 was re-introduced in the Assembly education committee. The chair of the committee is Catherine Nolan. You can reach her at 518-455-4851."

It is time to make some phone calls to Catherine Nolan.

A with the Senate bill this Assembly bill is is for reimbursing busing for 1/2 mile or more.  We really would like the reimbursement be for any distance but 1/2 mile is a lot better than 1 1/2 miles.
