Thoughts for Using this Group

Below is the Discussion Forum which will be used for posting information you think may start a back and forth discussion with other group members.  The body of the Discussion which the author posts can be edited as often as necessary by the author to add information in the future.  Replies posted by others can only be edited for a very brief period by the person posting the reply.  Please proofread it carefully before you post.

The Comment Wall below the Forum is best suited for posting information that you do not expect to initiate a discussion with and that you want completely visible to someone scrolling down this group page.

Everyone is welcome to share stories and pictures that shed light on our area's history.  This could be part of your family history; pictures of neighborhoods and landmarks back when; documentation of important events, etc.  If you have documented neighborhood events in online albums consider sharing links to the albums.

I'll start a Discussion for sharing pictures of historic interest.  You can use the "Reply" option to that discussion to contribute digital images with information on who, what, where and when the picture was taken.

Hopefully this is enough to get us off and running. Don't hesitate to email or call if you have questions.  jboutet@frontiernet.net 328-4271

All,

Many of you are probably aware that I am attempting to save Hunt's Hardware through its purchase, renovation, restocking, and re-energizing. I am doing this by asking for contributions of $100 in exchange for $150 of store credit paid out in 3 equal amounts on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd anniversaries of store re-opening.

Please go to the contribution site to learn about how I plan to change Hunt's to make it successful and to benefit the 19th Ward:

http://startsomegood.com/Venture/save_hunts_hardware

If you are unable to contribute financially, it would be greatly appreciated if you can support the initiative to save Hunt's by sharing this link with other contractors, residents, or people who might be more able to help.

Thanks,

David Culeton
