Hi Folks, I am returning from Detroit Monday MLK,jr day about 9:30 - I have the makings for about 100 luminaries and will serve hot chocolate at 745 Woodbine during the event. I will need help distributing the luminaries. Let me know if I should contact you Monday. thanks, Wendy

I won't be around this weekend, but I'm home many evenings if you want to get together. I'm glad more people participated last year!

I actually put some in front of your house last year - I knew you were away. We had 3 houses across the street and 4 on our side last year. Let's go for more this year! We can talk about it this weekend maybe.

last year we weren't here, so I didn't do it. I can help hand some out if you want, and I will light some if you can help provide them! thanks for the clarification!

I have a bunch of bags, we can make some and hand them out. Last year they went along the sidewalk. I think you were gone so I put them in front of your house.

one year I did normal candles along our walk way up to our doorstep because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do (not educated enough on the event). Are the luminary lights supposed to go along the sidewalk, or our own walk? Also, does it matter if I don't buy the correct lighting and just use candles? I don't think too many people on this block know about it.

Here it is, about 3 weeks until Martin Luther King Jr Night - in the 19th Ward Luminary night! We should plan to get the word out soon so our street is lined. I'll do a hot chocolate stand in front of my house!
