Thank you for joining Location19.  I would guess that you may be related to Raymond from Melrose Street who joined last month.   Now that you are a member, when you sign-in you can post to the Discussion Forum, Events calendar and Blog section of Location19 and you can join any of the various groups to participate in the discussions there.  Being a group member lets you post to the group and also permits you to receive email notifications from that group about events and other info that may not be posted on Location19 itself.  

You will notice we have a block club tab above and some of the Block Clubs in the area are listed.  I'm in a block club on the west block of Melrose.  There is a block group active on the middle block and we have been hoping to see one get started on the east block also.  I know of a few neighbors in your area who have been talking of starting one if you are interested.

Keeping up with new postings and participating in current discussions is one of the main uses of the site.  To do that you need to look at the "Latest Activity" column on the left of the Main page.  It is easy to miss new postings if you don't use that feature.  It's also a good idea to subscribe to the Daily Email Digest so you receive an update of new activity on the site.  There is a ton of information you can search for and read through on Location19.  Don't overlook use of the search options.
