- I'm a professor of English at the University of Rochester where I teach medieval studies, film and cultural studies, New Media and creative writing. I write all the time in my office overlooking a garden that resembles Miss Haversham's wedding cake. I welcome gardening advice. I love my house and my neighbors and Boulder Coffee. I wish I could make more of a difference, there.
