Welcome to Location19 and to the neighborhood Tammy.

It is great to see you sign up while you are in the process of home purchase.  We love to have involved neighbors moving in.  Now that you are a member, when you sign-in you can post to the Discussion Forum, Events calendar and Blog section of Location19 and you can join any of the various groups to participate in the discussions there.  Being a group member lets you post to the group and also permits you to receive email notifications from that group about events and other info that may not be posted on Location19 itself. I think email preferences are set for you to receive email notices by default but if you need to change something here is the Location19 Email Preferences instruction page.

Beside keeping up with new postings there is a ton of information you can search for and read from past postings on Location19.  Be sure you make use of the search options.   If you are interested in joining a block club, if you go to Members and do a search on Ravenwood you will get a list of members who have "Ravenwood" in their profile.  That may help you find someone who lives near and is interested in setting up a group. I think there is a group set up in the eastern most block of Ravenwood.  Marcy Klein is a contact for that group.  You should also check the street behind your house for a block club.  You can also do a Discussion post about setting a block club up in your area.  That may get a productive discussion going that leads to something positive.
