Hi Margaret,

It was nice meeting you at the November 2nd Housing Committee meeting.  Now that you are a member of Location19, when you sign-in you can post to the Discussion Forum, Events calendar and Blog section of Location19 and you can join any of the various groups to participate in the discussions there.

Be sure to visit the 19th Ward Housing Committee group and click on +Join 19th Ward Housing Committee in the upper right.   Being a group member lets you post to the group and also permits you to receive email notifications from that group about events and other info that may not be posted on Location19 itself.  Be sure your email preferences are set for you to receive email notices.   Here is the Location19 Email Preferences instruction page.

Please post your picture.  Step by step instructions can be found here How to Post Your Picture - It's easy!   Having a picture posted helps members get to know one another better and to recognize one another when they are present at a public meeting with people they have only met online.

It's a good idea to subscribe to the Daily Email Digest so you receive an update of new activity on the site.   That has become a bit less crucial since the Latest Activity column has been enhanced with the addition of the "More..." button at the bottom of the column. That lets you go back as far as you need to go to see what you missed.  Without the Digest of or the Latest Activity column it is very difficult to know where the new posts are.

I look forward to your participation. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call Marian or me at 328-4271.

John

Margaret,

Welcome to Location 19.

I would encourage you to join the 19th Ward Community Association.   We are actively working to address issues in our neighborhood and to represent the neighborhood at City Hall.  The more members we have, the more strength we have to address those issues, and the more in-tune we are with what is on the minds of our residents.

Please check out our website at http://www.19wca.org/
You can call Jackie at our office at 328-6571.  Registration-only membership is free to all 19th Ward residents.  I would encourage you to consider becoming a paying member, with the Individual level starting at $15.

If you have any questions, comments or input, please feel free to contact me at 527-9619.

Thanks,
DeWain Feller
