Landmark Society of Western New York is reaching out to identify places that have been important in the lives of African-American residents in Rochester.

We have someone who can provide help with paperwork, health forms, school forms, job and housing applications, understanding your bills, and finding community resources here at Arnett Branch Library from 12-3 pm. The Navigator can help with paper forms or with computer forms. So, if those online forms are just too much for you, come on in! This service is provided by the Literacy Volunteers of Rochester NY.

Cool Sweep is in effect today at the Arnett Branch Library!  The Arnett, Lincoln, Maplewood and Winton branches, will be open until 9:00 p.m. so people will have an air conditioned place to go to get relief from the heat.

Cool Sweep—presented by RG&E—is the City’s annual public safety and customer service program to help city residents who have limited opportunities to find relief from summer heat.

Hey parents, are you and your kids coming to the library this week to borrow books, CDs, and DVDs? Are you going to join us for our building's birthday party? Are you going to participate in storytime, LEGO Club or any of the other fun things we have going on this week? If so, your kids can also sign up for our Dig Into Reading summer program.…

The Homework Helpers will at the library from 3-6. School kids can stop by and receive help with their homework. This program is sponsored by the Rochester Teachers Association/Dial-A-Teacher.
