Like Ferro Rosso also. It just seems to fit. Love the name, too. How much better can you get with neighbor collaboration? This whole discussion has been a great example (including the bar/rest. Frank N Steins) of how someone coming into a neighborhood can solicit local opinion to make it their own. I think Anthony has done a great job of listening. Can't wait until these establishments open!

I agree 100%. I intend to be at city hall next Thurday to support Anthony's applicaton for a variance for Frank N Steins. I hope to see a lot of my neighbors doing the same. 11:30 am, April 19th.

Will there be a spot to grab a nice ice cream cone or a quick fancy hot dog (saugage dog)? I'm looking for a quick date spot for hubby to take me in the summer or on weekends.

He loves DogTown on Monroe.

Ice cream was suggested at the last PLEX meeting. Great idea. It is something I am working on incorporating into the floor-plan. Maybe even Gelato! Thoughts on a Black / Grey / White Color Scheme - Black and White Floor / Stark White Cabinet shelves / Black Trim / Gray Walls / Natural Butcher Block Counter Tops - Thought process: There aren't many foods that are black white or grey. I feel as though it would place a great deal of emphasis on the color of the food. Let the food itself be the accents in color scheme. Bright Oranges, tomatoes, bananas, limes and lemons all side by side. Also bring out the natural wood of the counter tops. We drove to pittsburgh today to pick them up. They look great. This is going to be amazing.

UPDATE: The entire space has demoed. I wanted to do checker board pattern, unfortunately not going to happen. Two different manufactures made the black and white tiles. It would have put the whole project on hold for an additional 2 weeks. We decided to go with all black. IT GOT DONE TODAY! Next step is to bring in the wax and the buffer - shiny in no time! I placed a time lapse camera in the building to capture the progress.

Next we will paper the floor. Finish the dry wall. Install all the shelving and appliances and hopefully be done by next week. The video could be a little better but for a first try at time lapse it came out pretty good.
