Hi MacClurg,

My mailbox received an email directly from Jackie with this information  8/20/2015 2:29 PM, so my guess is she posted this to Location19 around the same time.  The notice you received was most likely the Daily Email Digest delivered by Feedburner which checks what is new on Location19 around 5 am and sends out a list of what is new since its last report the day before.  News of the 8/20 afternoon post would therefore not been sent out until around 5 something in the morning of 8/21.  I received it at 5:15am.

It is possible for the person posting the notice to elect to send immediate notices from Location19 to specific "Friends" or all the "Friends" they have on Location19.  The "Friends" receive the notice immediately if they allow such messages to be sent to them.  You should check what your "Settings" say.  (Click "Settings" in your MacClurg Vivian control box at the top of the right hand column.  When the "My Settings" page opens click on "Emails" in the upper left nenu to see your setting.  I think by default they are all turned on, but you might have them turned off which would mean Location19 would not send you an email for the particular type of item.  These settings do not affect the Feedburner Daily Email Digest.)

I have the option when I post a notice to email it to all Location19 members but I'm not sure regular members have the option.  I'll have to check.

John

This came into my mailbox today, one day after the event. I was hoping someone would organized a community response, perhaps more will be scheduled.
