Discussion & Decisions:
1. We welcomed new Coalition member, Moniek Silas-Lee

2. Dan shared the results of his individual meeting with Regent Wade Norwood. They hope to have a follow-up meeting with Supt. Myers-Small to discuss transformative RCSD initiatives; including high-stakes testing variances for pilot schools & trauma-based education.

3. We are still waiting for new Regent Ruth Turner to set a date to meet with us. If anyone has an email address for her, please forward to Dan.

4. We agreed that we should send a letter to Harry Bronson suggesting that we work collaboratively in changing state policy or legislation to make the selection process for new Regents more transparent and democratic. Dan will draft a letter & share it before sending it out.

5. Don reported that he has discussed food improvement possibilities with several organizations & that more meetings are taking place with the district to improve the quality for students. We'll wait on the results before taking any action.

6. Bart facilitated a racial justice & equity activity with us & we all agreed that we gained more insight to racial understanding, as a result. If anyone has an activity aimed at increasing our racial justice understanding & would like to facilitate it, please contact Bart to coordinate.

7. We agreed that it would be a huge injustice if the RASE Commission report is not acted upon. Mark & Bart agreed to draft a letter to encourage action & seek the support from other local organizations. Don Pryor sent out a Zoom conference notice on the RASE report on 4/7 @ noon. Joe will provide a list of possible organizations to Mark & Bart.
Dan will invite the Monroe County Director for Diversity & Equity to meet with our Coalition to describe the County's plans for advancing the RASE recommendations.

8. Caterina explained the RCSD Zone Committee work underway for considering change to the current 3 Zone organization & policies for parent & student choice within & outside the zones. There is a RCSD zoom meeting OnApril 5th @ 5:30.

9. John Boutet announced that his work on providing free busing to all RCSD students is continuing with NYS legislators.

10. We agreed to meet again on Friday, April 16th, by Zoom @ 4:00 pm.
