Education Justice is Racial Justice. The education committee will be having its monthly meeting. If you are interested in learning more about the education committee and what we do, then this is a great opportunity to join and learn more.


What: AQE/Metro Justice Education Committee Meeting

When: Wednesday February 14, 2018 at 5:30 pm


Where: 540 West Main St, Rochester, NY. Parking is available on West Main, King Street or Madison Street or in the back via Y
ack Alley and Spies Alley.  See the Map

Process:

5:30PM- Opening Statement

5:35PM Welcome New Members - sharing of who they are and their story that brings them into education work

5:40PM Ground Rules/Ice Breaker

  • Racial justice = education justice.  If this is a value, how do you live it in your life?

5:50 PM Recap of childcare advocacy day. Do we want to add childcare to our work? What would it mean in our committee?  How do we work with other organizations that are doing this?

6:10 PM What is our plan at the state and local level and what are our goals

6:40 PM  School 41 and School 44 update

6:50 Roles for between meetings:

  • Round robin of goals for postcard collection
  • Phone bank and canvass sign up
  • Training Coordinator?  What trainings do we need to be more effective?

6:45PM closing statements and evaluation
