A free BizKid$ camp will be held during February school recess week, 9 a.m.--4 p.m., Tues.--Sat., Feb.17--21, at the Lake Riley Lodge, 100 Norris Drive, in Cobbs Hill Park for students ages 13-18. The registration deadline for this camp is Feb. 9.
Sponsored and organized by the City’s Bureau of Recreation, the Biz Kid$ camp provides youth with an opportunity to explore entrepreneurship through fun, fast-paced games and activities. In developing a real business plan, youth will learn how to look and act professional, plan time, manage money, promote a business and plan for the future.
Participants receive free equipment such as business cards, a canvas briefcase, calculator and receipt book to help them start and maintain their businesses and a chance to win CASH prizes at the completion of camp. Call the Bureau of Recreation at 428-7371 to request a registration packet or call 311 (outside the city call 428-5990).
