The next meeting is tonight, December 2, at 7 pm at the Presbyterian Home, 256 Thurston Road. This has been a fruitful series, well worth attending.

I wasn't able to attend this meeting as it was not on my calendar...... did anyone attend and can you please provide a report of what was discussed?

I made it there. The meeting was lightly attended and shorter than most we have had. Adam reviewed what had been happening with Street Watch. Things are moving ahead with the attorneys although more slowly than hopped for. There was some discussion of where placement of additional cameras should go, possible relocation of the bus stop shelter and what the latest rumors where on possible reopening of the 7-eleven or other such market and how that affected where cameras and shelter should go.

There was a little discussion of the traffic impact of the Brooks Landing development. Whether people saw a problem or not seemed to depend a lot on what time they were going through the area.

CPO Kristin Runyon was there and there were a few new faces amongst the neighbors present I think. Car to car drug sales were touched on and Kristin had some drug sales check list forms for people to take if they had not seen them yet. The value of forming block clubs was also discussed. There was a lot of networking after the meeting with neighbors getting to know each other and the CPO.

Perhaps lack of notification accounts for the poor turnout. Is there a schedule for the next meeting and/or any plan to get these times/dates communicated to people?

I think the next meeting is shifting back to the last Wednesday of the month starting January 27th. Ashley Cortese is the person to contact to get on the notification list.

I agree with you. I have never seen any traffic problem near Brooks Landing, and have invested in my house for 26 years. Waiting, and hoping ...
