I have been thinking about what I would love to have in the 19th Ward. Things that would make my life easier, and make it a little more convenient living here. Some are thinking out side the box, but some I think could really be doable.

1. Veterinarian, one that specialized in cats and dogs. Would be great to have someone in the neighborhood to help with our feral cats.

2. Garden Supply. I know a little far fetched, but considering the garden group on Locatoin19 is very active, the business just might be there.

3. A diner on one of the main drags that was open past 3pm.

4. Another grocery store for competition in prices.

5. Another drug store for competition in prices (a local one would be great, but not foreseeable).

6. A wine bar.

7. An Irish pub.

These are just a few I could think of off the top of my head. I'll add more as I think of them. Feel free to join in. I think it's a good idea to continue to imagine the 19th Ward as we would like it to be.

There is a Wonderful vet - Dr, Mullaney, who has been caring for our pets for over 30 years very close to the Ward on Brooks ave right across from the the Wegman's office Buildings on Brooks before Chili Ave. all our pets live well into old age with his care ( we currently have a 16 year old pug, 11 or so plus husky and two too many cats 11 years + all in great health)... His number is 585-464-8510. He's smart, realistic and caring through many years of family vet care!
Dr. Mallaney is wonderful and we have taken our pets there for 30 years.
4 In addition to the vet, I agree with the above. I understand that Price rite is looking for another market in rochester and will respond to community requests at "Please call us at 800-972-3150" ( I'd personally love to ride my new motor scooter and fill my baskets at a local store).

3 + 6 + & Doesn't our Brooks' Boulder Coffee fit the diner request? if not, why not? and how can they expand to fit that niche? what do they need to expand their repertoire? are they aware we want them too? and do we?

Great beginning Shawn.. this is why we are Urban by choice and have been in the 19th ward for over 35+years.
