Last night Anthony and I decided to talk a walk up GPB and then back down Thurston Road. Walking up the Boulevard was fine, and very pleasant. But as soon as we got to the end of Ernestine, it hit us like a brick wall. Trash, loud music from cars, people yelling out their windows at us. As we got near Angelo’s Market, Anthony saw someone run between the market, and the notorious empty house next door. So we were ready to see what was going on, but not ready for what we saw. We totally expected some kids “hanging out”, but no, we got to see some guys urinating on the side of the building behind a trash tote! And in broad day light nonetheless. Oh how classy! I have now seen just about everything on Thurston Road.

yuck!! I'm sorry that your evening walk was ruined Shawn. Seeing men urinating on buildings is pretty gross and what's with people 'yelling out their windows' at you??? What kinds of things were they yelling?
Yeah it was a pretty hairy walk down Thurston, but we expected it, but it should not be that way. A car came flying around a corner, and a kid in the passengers seat yelled HEY! out the window at us, in a tone that was said "what are you doing here".
Unacceptable. There should be no public urination by humans in the 19th Ward. Absolutely none.
