Sheri, yes amazing the CDC did not mention this in light of the fact that at least one member would have been familiar with the tax issues well before the 'community' meeting'. Like I truly believe, the deal had already been made before the meeting and the community input. I continue to question why Ms Sweet Potato Pie and Satiables NEVER moved in. They were slated to lease some of the available spaces.

Thanks for posting the link. I had missed the article in the D&C. I am assuming Sector4CDC helped get the tax breaks in the beginning. Many COMIDA jobs in recent years have been criticized as they never produced the promised jobs, if they did not they could lose their tax exemptions. While the Hotel has created jobs, I'm not sure it has created 26 jobs, and with empty store fronts, I'm not sure the business building has created any jobs. My impression is that the U of R simply moved over existing employees. If Boulder moves in, that won't create jobs either as those people are already employed.
