This is what many of us homeowners wake up to every morning on Elba St.  A few of us seniors are up around 6a picking up the messes in front of and on yards belonging to tenants.  Sure wish  these SW landlords would either better screen their tenants or the City Inspectors would better do their jobs! I have decided to turn my eyes away.  No pay, no benefits, NO work, NOT me!! ~~jussayin

Bejan Massachi. Yes. Good landlord. I would offer to call him if necessary.

55 Elba shows as a double on the city's website.  That's not an excuse for the front yard parking, but it does explain why there are more cars than will fit in the driveway!

55 Elba Street

i remember when the house was converted. a husband and wife did the conversion and their kids had their own apartmrnt!

What is it with the timeline on these posts..they are all over the place. Sometimes hard to follow!

The time of posting is recorded. It is not chronological --it is in tree form so later responses to earlier comments will show up before earlier responses to later comments.

Can u believe after many calls to the City Dept of Environmental Services, the Mayor and who ever else about litter and trash on properties and curbside that trash is still very visible here on Elba St. longgggg before garbage pick up day!! Letters and Good Neighbor brochures were mailed to each and every landlord on the street. Any suggestions? Guess ill take some pics tomorrow and post em here for the record.

I will make my own phone calls tomorrow.

97 Elba St.  October 8, 2012 3:30p.  Love that City Code Enforcement!  This problem landlord just refuses to do anything except collect rent.  Tenants usually only occupy his apartments on this street for only 30 days. Just plain SAD!!  Oh, is that a toter curbside in the backround?

When  neighborhoods can't even get help fixing the broken windows, why bother even attempting larger issues? What type of community involvement is the City asking for??

Starting 2013 additions to the SW Wall of Shame.  How many of these addresses are repeat offenders of 2012?

Judi, remember there were some holidays in January which changed pickup days. I know I was caught by one. So dumpsters may have just been put out on the wrong day.

Sorry I've been MIA for the last 6 weeks. I've been diagnosed with a chronic illness and have been quite ill. But I will get back to the block club after I start to feel a little better.
