This is what many of us homeowners wake up to every morning on Elba St.  A few of us seniors are up around 6a picking up the messes in front of and on yards belonging to tenants.  Sure wish  these SW landlords would either better screen their tenants or the City Inspectors would better do their jobs! I have decided to turn my eyes away.  No pay, no benefits, NO work, NOT me!! ~~jussayin

And the sofas and stove. And, of course, the laundry all over the fences and trees.

4:08p 8/15/2012 City truck picks up curbside debris at 97 Elba but leaves curbside debris at 93...........who does that? Bet the 'silent' City folks who monitor this site wish I was still at the lake! Trust me, you will see these photos again.

Me too!

I  forwarded  your photos to the NSC office - hope it helps!  I'll try to drive down there, too, and see if I can help build the case.....

Thanks Joan. I try to stay away from home/Rochester as much as i can cause things around here have deteriorated so much. These landlords over here are soooooo slack and there seems to be NO accountability from the City. Code Enforcement is a joke!

On the other hand, there are the landlords like Joe, and the Davids, and Massachis who really try to get and keep good tenants, and who are active in the neighborhood.

yeah but unfortunately they are the minority:

Pictures of the back yard of 21 Elba St - not so good, taken with my laptop.

david hawkes just left elba st with his camera. question for today is'where is joe lake?' maybe we should all collectively ask the mayor the same question along with this photo album!

Perhaps David could take his camera and walk out of the NSC ofc on Genesee St, turn left for about 1/2 block and snap some photos of the disgusting mess in that block! Aamof, he could probably see it from the doorway to his ofc. There are Elba St. scenarios all over this community that need to be dealt with!

SOOOOOOOOO let's Fire It Up! The more pics n on n this discussion, the better. Don't forget to post the date/time u take the pic.  UMmmmmm we could have a couple Community Photography Nites and just walk around a few streets and take pics of the disgusting sites. News reporters always looking for new news stories.: Wouldn't take much to BLOW IT UP! That way we won't have to just talk about it, we can be about it!
