Let's celebrate our neighborhood together.  Set lumaries out in the evening Januray 16.  Go for a walk to check them out.  The neighborhood should be lit up for all to see in a way that is quite extraordinary.  And there will be hot chocolate and cookies along your walk.

Some information around the planning of the event:

Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 7.  We will host luminary kit making at the office, 216 Thurston Road at various times throughout the day and evening.  It will be a good chance to get rid of those leftover sweets, have some fun, and accomplish a simple task.  More information, with times, coming soon.

Still doing some last minute shopping?  Would you be willing to pick up a bag of tealights, and drop them at the office?  We will need them to put the luminary kits together.

Lawnsigns – call the office, 328-6571, and we can drop a lawnsign at your house to help us get the word out, and encourage participation in this ‘brighten the neighborhood’ event.

Call the 19th Ward Office, 328-6571 if you would like to host a hot chocolate stand to encourage socializing, and help warm up your neighbors, out for a winter stroll.
