Genesee Brewing Co. is hiring for 70 jobs, 50 of them newly created to staff a production line for frozen mixed drinks packaged in single-serve pouches.

The 50 new jobs are on packaging machine lines for three shifts. The other 20 jobs are scattered throughout the Rochester brewery, from packaging lines to administrative positions.

Rochester, N.Y. – Genesee Brewery announced it will immediately add 50 full timejobs in packaging.

The positions will be installed on a line including new tanks, fillers and processing equipment to create frozen pouch products.

The Genesee Brewery based in Rochester, makes lagers, ales, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in addition to the classic Genesee line of beers.

Quality Control Inspector-Temp to Hire Position 1^st Shift

The QC Inspector responsibilities will include first part inspection, setting up inspection requirements of new products and investigation of failures. Must have 5+ years related experience. Comprehensive knowledge of GD & T, CMM (PC-DMIS  preferred) and an intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel. ASQ certification strongly desired.

 

Laser/Turret Combo Set Up/ Operator- Direct Hire Position 2^nd Shift

Responsible for set up and operation of Laser/Turret Combo Machine which will in clued installation of proper tooling per job specifications loading/unloading material, as well as making minor adjustments to the computer program if necessary. Must have a High School Diploma and 2-3 years related experience.

 

Assembler-Temp to Hire Position 2^nd Shift

Responsible for assembling comments into finished product from specific written instructions and or blueprints. Must have a High School Diploma and 2-4 years related experience.

 

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Temporary Position 1^st Shift

Responsible for visually inspecting parts, verify counts for incoming and outgoing orders, load/unload trucks, preparing parts for shipment and moving parts to staging area as well as Work Centers. Must have High School Diploma and 1-2 years related experience including previous fork lift experience preferred. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Webster, N.Y. - Xerox will begin interviewing candidates for the 500 jobs coming to a new call center.

The company plans to hire the workers who will provide customer care services for Xerox clients over the next two years.

Xerox currently employs 6,300 in the Monroe County area.
