Job Responsibilities
 
The major areas of responsibility for this position are:
 
Finance
• Responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and finance for the organization, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, benefits, budget, and audit;
• Manage the Arts Council’s group health insurance program, a benefit for its individual and organization members.

Administration
• Manage procurement of goods and services;
• Oversee contracted information technology and other vendor services, including insurance, facility maintenance, and security services;
• Responsible for preparation and retention of corporate, board, and audit-related documents, including board and committee meeting materials, bylaws, policies, financial records, resolutions, and minutes.

General
• Other projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years successful accounting/finance experience (nonprofit accounting experience preferred);

• Proven track record managing organizational finances;
• Benefits administration experience;
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work well as part of a team and to think and act strategically;
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to generate budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and financial analyses;

JOB TITLE:    Coordinator for Adult Reentry Services                         DATE:    Sept 30, 2011

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day programmatic and administrative operations for Adult Reentry Services. The Coordinator provides leadership and supervision to program staff and insures the provision of high quality services to people returning to the community from incarceration, parolees and other who may qualify for services. The Coordinator will work to establish and maintain a plan to coordinate care for high risk/high need participants in an effort to stabilize overall functioning and minimize risks for re-offense and return to prison. The Coordinator also works with the Monroe County Reentry Task Force in its work to oversee and implement a comprehensive approach to providing reentry services, including facilitating partnerships among criminal justice and human service agencies, coordinating services, establishing new relationships and creating new service agreements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:     Bachelors in Organizational Management or Social Work. Master's in Business or Social Work preferred. Or a combination of education and experience equal to the above.

Certified or Knowledgeable Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:    4-6 years Reentry Program Service experience, 3 of which must be Management or leadership or equivalent experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Weatherization Crew Chief is a working foreman who is responsible and accountable for the completion of all weatherization jobs. Responsible for efficiently and effectively implementing program guidelines. This includes assessment of weatherization needs to be performed, supervision of crew and sub-contractors, job oversight, work assignments and quality assurance. Responsible to ensure completed units meet Housing and Community Renewal Guidelines for certification of homes as well as other program contract requirements.

Qualifications/Education and Experience: 

  • Associate Degree in Applied Science, Building and Construction Technology or related field, or a High school diploma with trade school certification in both building construction and heating ventilation.
  • Training in OSHA 30 regulations, Lead Safe Work practices, EPA Lead Renovator, 30 hours of Supervisory course, and Basic Air Sealing training.
  • Possess ability to pass NYS Field Inspector test for certification by HCR and BPI Certification for Crew Forman and/or Heating Technician.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience with sub-contractors and/or work crews.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years hands on experience in construction/remodeling field, heating system diagnostic, and have demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to train crew personnel in installation of energy materials in houses such as carpentry skills for interior / exterior doors, windows; blowing cellulose, and knowledge of air sealing with foam installation and the use of respiratory safety.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic equipment to collect information for interim and post testing such as blower doors, furnace testing equipment, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse groups of people and possess a strong public relation background with leadership skills.
  • Proficient use of a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively/efficiently manage time, deadlines and maintain confidential information.
  • Requires health and physical capability to work in small spaces and do some crawling, stooping, climbing, and have the ability to lift heavy equipment up to 75 lbs.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's license with no moving violations and have reliable transportation
  • Must pass health physical exam and random drug and alcohol screenings

LOCATION: Monroe County Department of Public Safety/Office of Probation - Community Corrections

 

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for promoting and coordinating local community planning efforts to reduce recidivism rates of returning adult and juvenile offenders by ensuring offenders returning to their communities from federal, state, and local incarceration facilities, as well as other clients involved with the criminal justice system, are afforded the best possible opportunities and refrain from committing new crimes. Duties include grant and report writing, community education and task force coordination. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of, the Chief Probation Officer. Does related work as required.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as a program coordinator of a reentry program for parolees or probationers, OR program development or implementation of a program established to assist parolees or probationers to receive community services such as substance abuse treatment, employment search assistance, training/education, etc.;

(B) Four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as described in (A) above; OR,

(C) An equivalent combination of education and experience defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S):

Candidates for employment with Monroe County Government will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test, along with a background investigation. Failure to meet the standards may result in disqualification.

If you are appointed, you will be required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New YorkState or otherwise demonstrate your capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.

 

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT:

Applicant must be a resident of Monroe County at the time of appointment and for at least four (4) months at the time of examination.
