SUMMARY
 

Develop and promote clinical services for children and families in order to empower and improve their lives. Develop and sustain relationships with referral sources, collaborate and deliver community based psycho education workshops to provide needed information and increase community awareness of JFS resources.

 

Position will require 30 hours/week. 
Salary based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Provide ongoing clinical counseling to children, adolescents and families.
  • Function as part of the JFS team of professionals to meet needs of clients and agency.
  • Keep accurate client records according to JFS and best practice.
  • Attend clinical presentations.
  • Knowledge of Jewish culture and tradition preferred.
  • Is aware of and actively supports the Agency's cultural competency goals, efforts, and activities
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: LMSW-R or Masters Degree in Counseling or Psychology. Must be licensed in NYS and eligible to participate on insurance panels.

 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with children adolescents and families

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:                           MAINTENANCE WORKER

HOURS:                                Monday-Friday 8a-5p Full time.  This position will require on-call weekend and evening hours availability.

REPORTS TO:                      Director of Programs

POSTION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of the facilities, equipment, and grounds.  Responds to service calls during and after regular work hours; maintains clean, safe, and orderly work sites.

KEY SKILLS:

§  Excellent time management skills, an interest and capacity to attention to detail, and have strong communication and writing skills.

§  Broad knowledge of overall maintenance knowledge and trouble shooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, equipment, and tool usage.

§  Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems, ability to quickly grasp concepts and apply them in problem solving.

§  Ability to be an effective team player both within the department and collaboratively across departments,

§  Plan, organize, prioritize and implement work flow to meet departmental objectives,

§  Work independently, be proactive, and exercise good judgment.

§  Candidate must be a people-person, reliable, trustworthy and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ·         Two years college education or high school diploma with two years experience working in similar position(s).
  • ·         Knowledge of: Methods used in maintenance including basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, grounds keeping, appliance repair, and electrical wiring; standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities; safety practices and procedures; basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • ·         Skill and Ability to: Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools; read blueprints; follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain work logs; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.
  • ·         Possession of a valid New York State driver's license; willingness to work outside (if necessary) in inclement weather.
