Can you describe the cat?  For the past week a creamy/orange short hair with a long haired tail has been hanging around the corner of Aldine/Woodbine.  It is + - a year old.  The cat is VERY friendly, going up to strangers and crying and rubbing along their legs.  No collar.  I asked around if any neighbor owned it and no one does.  I fed her once as she/he is getting thinner and she/he gulped the food down.  Haven't seen her/he since yesterday morning.  Thanks.

The cat is a black/grey tabby and very definitely a she.  In fact, she might even already be pregnant -- skinny as she is! 

After exhausting all known avenues to me, I just returned from dropping her off at RAS (184 Verona Street).  If anyone is interested in a very sweet and playful kitty, she'll be on official hold through 9/15.  Her reference number is CR#288631.

As for the orange cat you describe, how long is the long-haired tail?  And does its face look like it might have an Abyssinian ancestor (i.e, sort of strangely shaped/spaced eyes)?

It is a creamy very pale "orange" and the tail is really long with very angora-like long fur, while the body is that of a short hair.  The face is lovely, somewhat wedge shaped with round yellow eyes.  It is a very loving and vocal little cat, but I have a male cat who would eat it alive.  I was hoping it was lost as it is definitely not feral; you can tell it was raised by people.  Thanks for replying.  Haven't seen it all day so I hope it found home or someone took it in.
