19th Ward Community Cats Seeks Your Help
Spring is coming and that means it's Kitten Season! And, the members of the 19th Ward Community Cats will soon be out and about the Ward searching for and trapping stray and feral cats as part of their TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) program. Last year the Group sponsored 71 cats in the TNR program.
Statistically proven, TNR reduces the number of free roaming cats. Over the years the Group has established relationships with animal facilities in our area and their work has received positive accolades from numerous sources in the Greater Rochester area.
While the Group has fund raising activities throughout the year they are now asking for financial donations from the community to continue this successful program. Any donation you make will help pay for veterinarian fees, vaccinations and medications after surgery.
Donations may be mailed or brought to the 19th Ward Community Association, 216 Thurston Road, Rochester, NY 14619. Please mark your check "For Cats". Thank you for helping a program that benefits all Community residents - cats and humans!

A major part of the funding for the 19th Ward Community Cats is their annual yard sale. This year the Group would like to try a different venue to expand the sale and not have to worry about the weather.
The Group is seeking an indoor space in the 19th Ward, ideally a church basement, school annex or other open large room that would be available for a 3 or 4 days including a Friday and Saturday. One or two days would be used for sorting of donations with the sale being held on Friday and Saturday.
If you have such a space and would consider it for the yard sale, please contact Jinny Spencer at 328-8473 for details.
