There is a promising new winery at Westside Farmers Market every other week --- Deep Root Vineyards.   This is a startup winery opened by the owner who received his licence last year, and started selling wine last Memorial Day, I think he said.  Deep Root is located outside of Hammondsport NY, just north of Konstantin Frank on the high road over the lake.  We visited the winery tasting room on Friday so I could pick up some excellent dry red Marchal Folk (sp. not sure.)  There are numerous signs posted at cross roads so you can find the new winery.  The young owner and his wife are very eager to please customers, and he recognized me from the market.  He is one of the few wineries in the area still offering Concord, a very grapey and fairly sweet wine, but not found elsewhere. He offers a number of wines that you will not find anywhere else.   If in the area, worth seeking out. 

Also recommended in the neighborhood is Stever Hill Winery, another relatively new place with a number of wines not available elsewhere.  Makes a good trip to see the two, and if so inclined, top it off with a stop at Hunt Country just a few miles east.
