We visited Hunt Country, Stever Hill, K. Frank, and Rooster Hill. Started off with lunch at Esperanza Mansion, which was superb! The previous afternoon we visited Ravines, which is excellent also.

Starting out of Penn Yan, head south on 54 and stop at Keuka Spring Vineyard, Rooster Hill, and Ravines. Stop for lunch first in Penn Yan, maybe at the diner, then have dinner in Hammondsport at the Village Tavern. Shop for a bit first around the village square in Hammondsport, at Cinnamon Stick and Browsers. Let us know what your favorite wines were ... Rieslings always are a hit, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir.

Comment by Gone on September 20, 2011 at 3:59pm: I love just about all of the Finger Lakes wineries. I've been to quite a few. Most recently, we found some very deliciously interesting wine at Earle Estates Winery/Meadery. Their selection of fruit wines is much larger than most of the others and their meads are fantastic. :)

RIT actually had a class go and tour at Glenora Winery last year and I found them to be exceptionally helpful in answering our questions and their approach to the winemaking fascinating.
