These 37 MSW students will be spending the next several weeks in the SW community working with community members on a variety of projects including development of a SW Asset Map. On May 31st the students were introduced to the SW and spent most of the day here. John Curran took 30 students on a River Walk History tour and introduced the students to the PLEX neighborhood. The Arnett Library offered us their space so we could learn more about Assett Mapping using GIS. Later in the evening, many of us enjoyed the Seedfolks Play put on by the SWAN after-school program.  

Several local residents and small organizations are collaborating with our students to give them a great learning experience. Other volunteers have stepped forward to spend time sharing their experience and expertise with us. If you're interested in learning more and/or in spending some time with a student please let me know.

On Thursday evening, June 28th, the students will be sharing their learning with interested people in the SW community.
