Hi Abdulwahab,
Welcome to Location19. I'm very glad you joined. We hope that merchants in our area will use Location19 as a means of communicating with residents to better meet the needs of their neighborhood and attract new customers.
Now that you are a member of Location19, when you sign-in you can post to the Discussion Forum, the Events calendar and the Blog section of Location19 and you can join any of the various groups to participate in the discussions there. I strongly urge you to join the Our Neighborhood Merchants group by clicking on this link and then clicking + Join Our Neighborhood Merchants button above the Members box. Being a group member lets you post to the group and also permits you to receive email notifications from that group about events and other info that may not be posted on Location19 itself. It would probably be a good idea for you to introduce yourself in a "Reply" to the Maklan Food post I put up.
Location19 is a volunteer administered website and we do not and have paid advertizing or staff. We hope you will use this website to communicate with local resident to better understand their needs and how to get them as customer. A big requirement for this to happen is for all of us to work in cooperation with the Rochester Police Department and youth outreach programs to eliminate illegal activities in the streets and establishments in our commercial areas.
There is a ton of information you can search for and read through on Location19. Be sure you make use of the search options. Not all business related posts are in the Neighborhood Merchants group. A good example of the type of merchant/resident communication I hope to see is in the New Bar/Restaurant in the 19th Ward discussion. The original title was New College Bar in the 19th Ward - Plymouth ROC and It was posted by a resident in opposition to the new business. Anthony Alessandro has done a very good job of listening to the residents input and adapting his plans to get support. Deli Sandro's coming to 1147 S. Plymouth Ave is another example of good use of the Location 19 site.
John
