Toni,
I checked a 19th WCA membership roster and I did not see your name on it (although the roster is a little out of date.
If you are not already a member, I would encourage you to join the 19th Ward Community Association. We are actively working to address issues in our neighborhood and to represent the neighborhood at City Hall. The more members we have, the more strength we have to address those issues, and the more in-tune we are with what is on the minds of our residents.
Please check out our website at http://www.19wca.org/ and you can join the Association through our web page. Registration-only membership is free to all 19th Ward residents. I would encourage you to consider becoming a paying member, with the Individual level starting at $15.
If you have any questions, comments or input, please feel free to contact me at 527-9619.
Thanks,
DeWain Feller
President, 19th Ward Community Association
Welcome Toni,
You're our first new member to join in response to the 19 Ward Housing Committee invitation. I was very impressed with the first meeting. Everyone participated effectively. Now that you are a member of Location 19, when you sign-in you can post to the Discussion Forum, Events calendar and Blog section of the site and you can join any of the various groups to participate in the discussions there. Be sure to check out the 19th Ward Housing Committee group.
Being a group member not only lets you post to the group but it will also permit you to receive email notifications from that group about events and other info that may not be posted on Location19 itself. Be sure your email preferences are set for you to receive email notices. Here is the Location19 Email Preferences instruction page.
Please post your picture. Step by step instructions can be found here How to Post Your Picture - It's easy! Having a picture posted helps members get to know one another better and to recognize one another when they are present at a public meeting with people they have only met online.
Please be sure to subscribe to the Daily Email Digest so you receive an update of new activity on the site.
I look forward to your participation. If you have any questions don't hesitate to call Marian or me at 328-4271.
John
