Square Fair 2014

We have started planning for Square Fair 2014. The committee decided to reinstate the Friday Night Parade to allow more people to participate in both events. Speaking of participating...if you have any interest in vending, performing or volunteering please let me know.  The Pancake breakfast will "officially" start at 8:30am with the fair starting at 10 and running til 5:30Pm. come join the fun.

Disney on Ice Discount

Disney on Ice sent the Arnett Branch Library vouchers for discounted tickets to the Jan. 23 and Jan. 24 7:00 pm performances.  They can be picked up by at the library (310 Arnett Blvd. Rochester NY 14619) on a first come first serve basis.

Genesee Valley Little League

Baseball season is around the corner!  Genesee Valley Little League will be registering kids at the Arnett Branch Library from 10am-12pm Saturday, January 11.

As of Tuesday Jan 7, three temporary emergency shelters have been CANCELLED

Latest news is the Emergency overnight shelters have been cancelled.  The 7 Community Centers  should be open 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

The following City recreation and community centers will be open for regular programming from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

* Carter Street Community Center: 500 Carter St.

* Edgerton Community Center: 41 Backus St.

Winning public safety projects announced

PRESS RELEASE FROM MAYOR TOM RICHARDS:

(Friday, Dec. 27, 2013) - Mayor Thomas S. Richards today announced the results of the public vote for the "Voice of the Citizen" Budgeting for Public Safety initiative. The two-week voting period ended on Monday, Dec. 16 with a total of 840 votes cast.

The Southwest quadrant winner was the Jobs for Life career and community education program which will provide job referrals and mentors for 30 adults and tutoring for 60 youth in…
