Kuumba Green Arts Marketplace

Celebrates youth artists: Shop Green!

Kuumba Consultants with a grant from Rochester Works has been teaching youth 18 -24 in an 8 week job experience program to paint old furniture, create home fashions from recycled material. The students have also written poetry and created a spoken word CD and book based on the healthy living. Kuumba Green Arts students also wrote and will perform a play entitled the Time is Now . The Time is Now encourages all of us, especially the children to be caretakers of ourselves, our community and our earth.

Kuumba Green artists will present a showcase and sale of their creations on Saturday September 26th at 34 Elton Street from 12- 5pm

Shop environmentally friendly, original unique home fashions, painted furniture and wearable art at the Kuumba Green Arts Marketplace. All proceeds from the Kuumba Green Arts Marketplace will go toward a scholarship fund for the Kuumba green arts students who will attend college next semester.
