Luminary Kits; Making and Selling

This is a posting from Dan, that he made to the 19th Ward Yahoo group. I am reposting it here.

We will be selling Luminary kits at Tops on West Avenue this weekend, while supplies last starting from 11- 5 on Saturday, and from 11-5 on Sunday. Hunts has Luminary Kits available as well, if you can't make it to Tops.

We will also have our hopefully last Luminary making event, Saturday at 10:30 at Tops on West Avenue. The store is allowing us to make the Luminary kits in the front room (the former Blockbuster space),and we will then also be having a table to accept donations for the completed Luminary kits. We have a lot to make, so all volunteers are appreciated.

If you have volunteered to pass out the Free Luminary Sample kits, this will give you a chance to come and pick up your completed kits, Not all of the free kits will be available, however, until Monday evening, as the University of Rochester students are making kits for us on Monday.

I believe we will also have the yard signs back from the printer and those should be available for pick up on Saturday as well. I am looking for volunteers to put signs in the front yards throughout the neighborood, particulary corner yards, or houses by intersections.

I am also looking for a few volunteers to help man the table at Tops for this weekend. Call me if your are able to help out, and I can tell you what times slots we need help with.

Lastly thanks to everyone who came out last night to make Luminaries.
