As you may know, School 16 on Post Avenue was closed last summer for renovation, with parents and staff told that the school would be temporarily relocated to the Freddie Thomas Building in Northeast Rochester.
Since that time, School Superintendent Vargas presented a DRAFT PLAN to the Board of Education
that called for closing the current School 16 building on Post Ave until either major renovations or replacement are completed. There have also been discussions of a new very large school being built that would combine 16 and 44.
A group of 19th Ward residents are conducting this survey to ask people's opinions about the future of School 16.
