Thoughts and Prayers for Bill Sullivan

From the 19th Ward Community Association:

"Hello friends,
As many of you already know, Bill Sullivan (son of Barb & Bill, husband to Juliet and father to daughters Molly & Josie) suffered a massive hemorrhage in his brain early yesterday morning. He has survived surgery to relieve the pressure and this morning has shown a couple of small but encouraging signs of responsiveness. His condition is still quite grave, however, and the family would like their friends and neighbors to keep him in their thoughts and prayers."

From Heather Adams:

Hello,
I just stopped down to see Juliet. She is well supported; Barb Sullivan is at the hospital with her and while I was there her parents stopped in, and also her next door neighbor, and also Don Prior. I asked Juliet what she wants/needs. Although she hasn't been able to organize a full list yet, here is what she has come up with so far.

A) Most of all, she wants people to be with her. If you can possibly stop by to visit, I know she will greatly appreciate it. Bill is on 3-2800, the adult ICU, and there is a spacious lounge next to the ward where you can sit and visit with Juliet. To find 3-2800, exit the parking garage into the hospital, go through the main lobby, and turn RIGHT. Follow the signs to the RED elevators. There are also red tags with an "R" on them hanging from the ceiling that you can follow. Take those up to the 3rd floor. When you exit the RED elevator bank, turn left and follow signs down the hallway to 3-2800. It is a little misleading because the newborn nursery and NICU are also in that area, but if you keep going to the end of the hallway you will get to 3-2800 which is the adult ICU.

B) Fresh fruit and vegetables. She wants to keep her nutrition up and would really appreciate fresh fruit and veg to snack on.

C) "Fluffy" books (her words)!

D) Some crafty things she can do with her hands - they should be simple projects..she does needlepoint but any kind of simple crafty project would be great.

E) If anyone has a laptop with INTERNET access that they can donate or loan, that would be wonderful. The hospital has free guest internet service so she should be able to get online right from the lounge area. She would like to post some information on facebook and this will also give her a way to stay connected with friends and family.

F) Last, not an immediate need/request, but something to be thinking about...if any out of town friends/family want to visit Juliet & Bill, they might appreciate a place to crash for a night or two. We'll keep you posted about that.

Thank you all,
Heather
