On Sunday the Rochester community united to show support for justice in the Trayvon Martin case. People gathered at the Liberty Pole then marched down Main Street then turned right onto State Street to rally at the Federal Building. There was a great spirit of unity in the crowd of one to two thousand people.

The crowd started gathering at the Liberty Pole a little before 3:00pm and listened to speeches from the march organizers.

Around 3:15 The march got under way. There were several news reporter covering the event and this reporter was emphasizing how large the crowds were.

The march soon stretched as far as the eye could see down Main Street. At its longest it must have stretched much of the way between the Liberty Pole and State Street.

At State Street the March turned right to go the the Federal Building.

People stopped at the Federal building and the marchers crowded in to hear the speeches.
Speakers stood in front of the Federal Building and spoke to the crowd with megaphones.

The mood of the crowd was very festive. Everyone was delighted to see the great turnout.

Mayor Tom Richards, City Councilpersons and other speakers stayed to talk to everyone who wanted to speak to them.

I'm Sure that everyone who came found this an interesting and uplifting event that made us glade to live in this City.
