Hello,
I recently joined the Location 19 website to make you aware of a college bar that is opening in my neighborhood. I am a longtime resident on S Plymouth Ave and I just became aware of a gentleman that is trying to open up a college bar at 1155 S Plymouth Ave. This is the same gentleman that has been buying up properties for students and evicting my friends and neighbors. I do not think the neighborhood needs a college bar. We will be inundated with drunk college kids on Friday and Saturday nights. The city and neighborhood must stand up to prevent this bar. It will only bring trouble. The bar name is Plymouth Roc. That is the same name of the gang that terrorized our streets years ago. We do not need this. We do not want this.

Eula: You accused someone of stalking and frightening children. That is a terrible accusation, and in the context of your letter it sounded like you were talking about Anthony. That is an awful accusation, and you should not make it without proof. I personally do not believe it. Anthony certainly had every right to put the petiton on this website; it was sent to the zoning board and is in the public domain. I don't see how you can construe that as an attack against you; the petition speaks for itself.
Eula - I don't mind that you oppose me, But as Vice President of the Plymouth Ave Business Association I thought it would concern you that someone would pass around a petition and get signatures under questionable circumstances at best, and then attach a letter that makes untrue accusations, without any of the signers of the petition having the benefit of viewing that very letter. I am not suggesting that every signer doesn't agree. I am however stating that there are people on that petition that DO NOT know what they signed. I have a letter from Ray Daniels and I am in the process of collecting others from people that feel they were grossly misrepresented.
I have reached out to you, I have frequented your establishment, in an attempt to be a friend and an ally. You continue to make this vague reference that there is something I am hiding. If I have been anything, I have been transparent. If there is something that I am doing that you think is inappropriate I need to you be specific and state it, rather than continuing to make these vague accusations.
you are right as the vice president of the association I have a duty to let the people know if there is something going on that can and will harm this neighborhood and the letter I received in my mail box is serious and can harm this community in many ways if it is true and Mr.Daniels notrized one of the letters now I am sure that he would not notrize something that he beleived to be untrue I appericate you comming to my place and I have no personal problem with you however I will not post or discuss these letters this is for the city of Rochester to discuss,The letters was sent to me as the vice president of the south ply asscotiation I am not making vague accusations I dont know if the letter is true or not however its strange that 3 people have made the same accusations against you the signutures was gotten under the oppesed to having a college bar thats what they signed as i did thats what on the heading of the petion even mr.Ray Daniels saw what the heqding said if he has changed his mind then so be as the others that you have got to change there minds and to say that it was late and to say that these people signed because everyone else did is crazy then Anthony you are saying we have a bunch of EDUCATED FOLLOWERS AND NO LEADERS
Anthony, as I passed by all the work being done today I did not see any visible 'Permit' signs. Also, isn't there asbestos in the siding you removed today from 1155 S. Plymouth? We've already had several exposures to asbestos recently in this community. Proper asbestos removal is expensive, but necessary for the community.
Oh Ok I was just wondering and asking. I know for safety's sake it is best to work with permits and pass the inspections.
This is the way it was for many years! 1155 S. Plymouth.......
These were from taken from a small photo album of 'Community Eyesores' I presented at a 'We Care' meeting. The new proposals for that location as well as the Deli Sandro definitely look better than what we had to look at, wouldn't you agree? Although the date on the photos are from 2000, this is typically what it looked like on a day to day basis until the store closed w/o much interaction from the City. They sold single cigarettes, single diapers, expired foods, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and an occasional gun or two. Oh yeah and beer before noon on Sunday's.
I think based on Anthony's responses that we can turn this around, and if successfull, other areas in the neighborhood. We should all support his efforts.
Absolutely!! I would like to see a bunch of residents show up at his variance hearing and support him enthusiastically. I would hate to see intimidation tactics succeed.
What is the new date and time for the variance hearing?
Sure! The corner will be totally transformed!
