Owner:  Chong Su Choy ("Sue")

Specialties:  Besides the standard breakfast and lunch diner items they have some great Korean Dishes.

This wonderful new diner at the south east corner of Barton and Genesee Street is a great new addition to the breakfast and lunch options we in the SW Quadrant have.  They can be on the way for most anyone heading south out of the Quadrant, and they have parking.  The diner, at 904 Genesee, is easy to spot in the southern half of the small strip mall.  Their hours are 7am to 4pm.

The inside is bright, clean and spacious.  They have Wi-Fi for those who are interested and the tables are easy to rearrange to a larger group.  We were having a 19WCA committee meeting in the back of the diner when I took this shot of the inside.  That is Sue behind the counter.

The service here is very good and Sue and all the staff enjoy kidding around with the customers.  Everyone we have dealt with so far has been a pleasure.  This is the kind of service many of us were thinking of when, many years ago, we started longing for a coffee shop.

The menu is a great start but could have a few more items.  Everything I have tried so far has been good.   The Korean dishes add a few items out of the ordinary.  So far we have tried the Chicken and Beef Bulgogi and they were excellent.  They were tasty and not too spicy.

If you have been following Location19 you have probably seen the excellent Brooks Landing Diner  discussion which Margy Meath started in the main Forum.  Be sure to check it out.

This place is great- we meet every Wednesday morning here and greatly enjoy the service, food, and atmosphere!

The Brooks Landing Diner is excellent.  Wonderful pancakes! Great personnel!

John, where can I find the photograph you refer to above?

Went to Brooks Landing Diner with Judi Baker this morning.  Very nice!  Liked the way you could sit and chat in open, clean, friendly environment.  Definitely a place to refer friends and family.

Tried the chicken bulgogi yesterday and it is excellent!  Don't be disuaded by the price, because there is enough for an ample lunch ... and I just finished the other half for dinner tonight.  If adventurous and you like spicy, try the kimchi, which Sue makes fresh every morning.  A pickled cabbage side, it is a traditional Korean recipe, which can mellow in your fridge if you have leftovers.  It is not on the menu, so just ask for it.

Also try the kimchi pancakes (not on the menu) but she makes them for us on Wednesday mornings! Delicious!!
Had the old geezers special with a Old Geezer this morning. Great place to dine!

Landy just mentioned that the Brooks Landing Diner & owner Sue was featured on Fox News Rochester.
