Well one of us doesn't like to ride when it gets too cold (not saying which one. So we will ride for probably another month together and then start up in February or March depending on the weather. Of course if its another winter like last year, we might ride longer. Of course the benefit is that we get to check out all the great diners, driveins, and dives on our early morning rides.
Dan, are you guys planning on riding all winter or just up until a certain point?
Just an FYI to everyone. John DeMott. Ride for about half an hour on most M, W, and Fridays at 6 AM. This is a PACTAC ride, but you don't have to be a PACTAC member to ride with us. We generally tour the SW neighborhoods, occasionally work permitting we go on longer rides to other parts of the City. If you are interested meet in front of my house at 6 AM on one of those days. Always good to check with me, however, as occasionally work gets in the way, and we don't ride.
Just heard from the Rochester Cycling Alliance:
(Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012) — Mayor Thomas S. Richards today accepted a national recognition for the City of Rochester from the League of American Bicyclists. Rochester — one of only two cities in New York State to be so honored — was named the recipient of a “Bicycle Friendly Community” Award during a Navigating MAP-21 Bicycle/Pedestrian Advocacy Conference held in Rochester. New York City is also a New York State recipient and one of the 242 award designees nationally.

Biking rocks. Just started getting back on my bike and really enjoying it. Great way to meet people in the neighborhood. Will see how far into winter I can make it.
