City REALLY DROPPING the ball for Toter Violations!

Well, I just received a letter from the Southwest NSC (Carl Williamson) that on January 23, 2013, my toter was observed between the sidewalk and the curb 48 hours AFTER my scheduled pickup. The letter is dated January 23, 2013. Sorry, but I had to stop laughing before posting this. BUT my pickup day is THURSDAY! So it would be to the curb on Wednesday January 23 until possible Friday January 25, 2013 at noon. BUT MLK day was Monday January 21, so my pickup day would have been delayed one day until January 25, 2013. It was picked up this morning......Now the real ironic thing about this is that due a handicapping condition, my garbage is picked up from my yard by a City of Rochester Refuse Collector which was started in December 2012!!!! So my green rolling refuse container is NEVER curbside!! Now the last sentence says to call him at 428-7630 9a-5p Monday thru Friday. I just called at 1:30p TODAY, AND EVERYBODY IS EITHER OUT OT LUNCH OR GONE!! FIGURES!!

Well so much for the City's cry of 'we need community participation and help, you are the eyes and ears of this community'!! "We can't be everywhere, so we need your help"! I got a BIG slap in the wrist and a fine looming in the wings for my eyes & ears, emails and camera.................Tom Argust, before he retired, started this quite a while back with PAC-TAC and the Code Violation sheets. I was an active member of PAC-TAC and we started working for free FREE then.

Dont let one person downplay what you have done for this community. This is one person!!!!!! You were slapped only if you think you were slapped. There is no fine looming in the wings!! You keep your eyes, ears and e-mails and camera working, only it should work a tiny harder to include whoever is playing this joke on you. We need to work together and we will succeed inspite of those that persecute us! Go have a drink, give me 3 mins. to get one and I will join you right from my living room. So, I am still waiting for my $90,000 job from the city to explain this to those who do not know how to read city code. Send your tax dollars to me, instead. I can do it for $30,000. That would still be 10,000 more than I make a year! (And actually I make less than 20 per year.) How can city officials justify their jobs? We pay their salaries. Get this... my salary in city taxes pays his? I have to pay Mastercard to pay my taxes. I make less than poverty wage, yet have to go into debt to pay taxes. Is this right?

The crisis down the road is when I cannot pay any more, and I go to Social Security, when I retire. But I cannot retire. I have to keep working, when I wanted to retire at age 62. That used to be when Americans could retire. Now when --- we have to keep on working until we die. It is hard if you have some disabilities, as most do when we get older. When are we allowed to retire now? If anyone has an answer, I would like to know what we are supposed to do.
