Mayor Lovely A. Warren will host a
THURSTON VILLAGE REVITALIZATION PROJECT RIBBON-CUTTING
FRIDAY, JULY 31 at 12 NOON
At the corner of Thurston & Ravenwood
Several years ago dozens of Thurston Road businesses, residents, property owners and community leaders came together to visualize improvements for our street.  Since that time 19 Thurston storefronts were renovated with City grant funds, new businesses were recruited, RPD added cameras and patrols, and a totally new street design was just completed.  We now have more attractive pedestrian-level lighting, new curbs, crosswalks, trees, bicycle racks, 20 benches, 46 new trees and 4 gateway columns!  The City invested over $2 million.
We are all invited to a brief celebration with Mayor Lovely A. Warren on Friday, July 31 at noon.
Gather near the community garden at Thurston & Ravenwood.
