Lauren,

Thanks for sharing a little bit about your family and your Weldon Street experience.  I'm hoping more Weldon St. residents will join this venue for sharing information and getting to know one another better.  Don't forget the 19th Ward Convention next week (11/18)!

Hi everybody.  We're the Sample family, at 173 Weldon on the corner of Pioneer.  My husband Mark and I moved to the rental at 177 Weldon when we got married in 1992, thinking we'd be here for just a while.  In 1998 the house next door at 173 came up for sale.  We bought it still thinking we'd be here for just a while longer, but here we still are, and planning some major renovations now to make it accessible for our daughter, who is in a wheelchair.  So it looks like we're in for the long haul, and are happy to be a committed part of a great neighborhood.

Thank you for sharing this information.  I'm going to alert the Weldon St. group through my regular email distribution list and encourage them to sign up for www.location19.org so they can get - and share - information.

Greetings everyone!  I'm new to this site, but have been living at 221 Weldon St. for about 9 years with my wife Dawn and for the last 10 months with our son Kieran.

I want to let everyone here especially know that a couple nights ago the shed in our backyard was burglarized and we had two Trek bikes and a Craftsman snowblower stolen.  The police were notified but no one's been caught so please make sure your outdoor valuables are secured as the burglars are still likely in the neighborhood.

Thanks!
