Arnett Block Association meeting, June 21. 2016

Minutes for Arnett Block Association Meeting June 21st, 2016

We hosted Police Chief Ciminelli and Captain Tony McMullen from RPD as well as two of our beat officers and CPO's Carl Dickerson and Andy Dimaria. We took a walk in the neighborhood visiting the businesses, library, garden etc. Chief Ciminelli and the people who walked with us were able to engage in conversation about the issues in our neighborhood. We expressed our gratitude for their support and how it is improving the problems we were having with youth gathering in large numbers on Arnett. Dave Culeton and Mohammed shared about their ideas for the Buzzin Bee to move into the corner building at Arnett and Rugby and become a full service grocery. The new laundromat is open and doing business. Check it out!

We are working hard toward our upcoming Block Party August 6th, 12-4 pm. Right now we have a full schedule (see attached schedule and flyers). We can use lots of help on that day starting at 9 am when we will be setting up. We are in particular need this year of shade tents of any description. Please let me know if you would be willing to let us borrow one. We will need lots of helpers so if you can come and would like a job, please let Susan know. 775-9548 or susan@harpsongs.com
