While digging around for more information on my future neighborhood (fingers crossed) I found the below article. I do not believe this has been posted yet, and if it has then I apologize now. After reading about some of the recent concerns and tragedies in the area, this was a reassuring and hopeful piece to come across. I am not very knowlegeable on the status of the Brook's Landing project nor any other possible intentions for the surrounding area. I suppose that will be my next objective. I am interested in any thoughts the community has in response to the article.

thank you for posting this positive article! I've been in the neighborhood over 30 years and love it. I don't feel threatened, but hopeful not only for our neighborhood but our country because of this community!
Brooks Landing is a great place and has seen a lot of development in the past 2 years after what seemed like a very long stall in terms of progress. This neighbrhood needs continued economic development AND people who care. A common theme has been a suggestion for people to shop 'local' and i agree with this except that it is sometimes difficult to find local shopping here that meets my needs. I do use Hunts hardware as much as possible and also am at Boulder coffee regularly, including hosting profressional groups at that site. some of the other local stores highlighted in the article don't meet my needs but there are other 'locally' owned (i.e. Rochester) stores that do.
In terms of safety, i rarely feel personally UNsafe but there are defintiely problems in this community re: violence and crime that need ongoing attention and work!
