Just had a real hard knock on my front door, 4/4/11-7:30p (I have a doorbell) I answered and talked thru the door. He said he had a paper from the Public Service Commission that he had to give me. I told him to put it in my mailbox, but he said he had to put it in my hand. NOT!! This door was NOT to be opened!!  He left mad and I dialed 911 with his description right away!! Too many burglaries around here.  May have been legit, but I was NOT taking any chances!!

Judi, You did the right thing. DO Not open the door for individuals that you do not know. Sometimes we open the door without thinking. I know I do but I'm 6' and 250lbs and usually am imtimidating to anyone who dares to ring my bell. I know how I am, if he would have knocked hard on my door we would have met face to face. These cowards are obviously watching to see where the easy picking are. We all need to be aware and alert to the folks that are roaming about. Please share your description of this person.

Description: male, black, dark skinned,  about 5' 6" around 150 lbs.  Wearing all black jeans, hoodie and skull cap.  Carrying a stack of papers in a plastic holder.  BUT NO id badge.  At 7:30p you'd think he be showing a badge of some sort if working for a company. If he was soliciting for a utility company, he was just a little too forceful.  He really got angry when I would NOT open the door.
