A reminder to parents of children in the Rochester City School District: Classes resume before the Labor Day holiday this year.

The first day back for students is Wednesday, September 2.

Start times for the district's elementary schools will be staggered this year. Tier one will begin at 7:50 a.m. and end at 2:10 p.m. with a Wednesday early dismissal of 1:25 p.m.

Tier two will start later at 9:15 a.m. and end at 3:35 p.m. with a Wednesday early dismissal of 2:50 p.m.
