Little Theater movie fundraiser for the 19th WCA.

Posted on March 12, 2012 at 10:20pm 0 Comments

Do you want to see a great movie and raise money for the 19th Ward Community Association all at the same time?  Then buy a ticket from the Association office (328-6571) or any 19th WCA delegate or officer today.

Here's how it works.  You buy a fundraiser ticket for $15, and $8 of that goes to the 19th WCA.  You then turn in your fundraiser ticket at the Little Theater box office on Sunday, March 18 (this coming Sunday) to see any movie that is playing that day. …

Hi

I submitted an electronic application for the community association. I am very interested in your education committee. I am currently working with Community Education Task Force to start an independent district wide parent organization. Our next meeting will be on 6/15 at 5:30pm at School Without Walls, 480 Broadway.

Hi!

Thank you for the welcome!  I actually put in an application for the community association over the internet a few days ago.  I have been looking for more ways to give back to my community.  Despite being at my current address for only 2 years, I grew up on Brookdale Ave.  I tried living elsewhere in the city and couldn't wait to get back into the 19th ward!  I'm looking forward to following in my dad's footsteps and joining PAC-TAC, also.

I hope to meet more new people soon and get re-acquainted with everyone else!

DeWain,

As a former editor, please note you need to change spelling to "pragmatic" in your profile. But I agree completely!

Hi, DeWain! As you know I have agreed whole-heartedly with many or your expressed opinions and ideas in the past. It is great to see a picture of you and your family! Hope to meet you in person one day... :)

Welcome DeWain and Amy! Thank you so much for joining us here on Location19! I just read your bio, and understand what your talking about. I can only imagine what it must be like with children.

I do believe if we work together, we can create change in the 19th Ward. I now it will not happen over night. We certainly did not get here over night.

Thanks again, and I look forward to meeting you out around the Ward!
